The Health Education Network of Delaware (HENOD) is a professional organization dedicated to improving the practice of health education and health promotion in Delaware. Members represent a variety of disciplines - health educators, health promotion specialists, school health, fitness professionals, public health workers, registered dietitians, nurses, lay volunteers - anyone involved with promoting positive health and preventing illness.
We offer opportunities for members to network, pursue continuing education, and advocate for policy changes that promote improved health and well-being. For more than 10 years, HENOD has provided educational membership meetings, networking opportunities, and resources to our members.
HENOD was founded in early 1997 by a small group of dedicated health professionals and volunteers. In 2009, HENOD merged with the Delaware Public Health Association (DPHA), and is now the Delaware affiliate of the American Public Health Association.
