HENOD needs volunteers for committee chairs. If you are interested, please contact any member of the executive committee. The committees are:
- APHA Liaison - responsible for chairing Public Health Association Committee and serving as liaison with the American Public Health Association.
- Program - responsible for planning presentations at four meetings, finding sites, and promoting the meetings; also works on continuing education credits.
- Communications - responsible for monthly emails to members, and obtaining information from members for the emails and for the website.
- Membership - responsible for recruiting new members, maintaining the membership database, and production of the annual Membership Directory.
- Advocacy - responsible for keeping track of local and national issues related to health promotion and health education, and making recommendations to the executive committee and membership for action.
- Awards - responsible for seeking nominations and making recommendations to the executive committee for up to three awards for outstanding contributions to health promotion in Delaware, to be presented at the annual meeting.
